About Us
LaunchBay Capital (LaunchBay) is a growth-stage private equity firm dedicated to addressing the capital needs of high-growth, mid-market Indian headquartered businesses.
We make active minority investments across the CHIFT sectors—Consumer,
Healthcare, Industrials, Financials, and Technology. Typical investment sizes
range from US$ 25–50 Million, with the flexibility to pursue larger opportunities
by including co-investments alongside our fund investors.
The name LaunchBay is a tribute to our home base—Bombay (now
Mumbai)—and our mission: to launch high-potential businesses into their next
orbit of growth, powered by a potent combination of capital, expertise, and
strategic partnership.
Our portfolio companies are businesses with sustainable, high-quality growth potential. At the heart of our investment philosophy lies a commitment to
the “holy trinity” of value creation:
Aligning with entrepreneurs of conviction who bring deep operating expertise
Augmenting that with rigorous financial
acumen and discipline
Enabling companies to scale by strengthening people, processes, and culture
We support businesses in growing beyond the organic trajectory—by facilitating expansion into adjacent product-market spaces, enabling strategic
“roll-up” acquisitions, and guiding savvy capital allocation to amplify outcomes
LAUNCHBAY PARTNERSHIP
Paddy and Vibhor first crossed paths at Temasek, where Paddy played a role in recruiting Vibhor. They developed a rewarding professional relationship, which evolved into a lasting friendship after Paddy’s departure – including as regular squash partners. Over the past two decades, they have remained closely engaged, unified by shared values and a deep passion for investing and entrepreneurship.
In 2025, after considerable deliberation and introspection, they left their high-impact leadership roles and co-founded LaunchBay Capital. Their mission: to address the capital needs of India’s high-growth mid-market businesses—a segment often underserved amidst a decade of private equity consolidation. Their vision is to build a marquee institution designed to endure and scale well beyond its founders.
The founders share a commitment to building a cohesive & talented team, fostering inclusive decision-making, and equitably sharing wealth.
Together, Paddy and Vibhor bring over 40 years of investing experience, having deployed $4B+ across 35 companies, across sectors, investment styles, and economic cycles. They’ve cultivated a wide-ranging network of professional managers, board members, operating advisors, bankers, diligence experts, regulators, and fellow investors – relationships that anchor LaunchBay’s collaborative, high-conviction approach.

Growth Investing
We invest in value-accretive, high-growth opportunities, especially in businesses operating within subsegments that benefit from structural tailwinds—such as the formalization of the economy, favorable demographics, regulatory momentum, and digital transformation.

Quality Businesses
We back companies with sound governance, proven business models, defensible competitive advantages, and financially savvy management focused on capital efficiency.

Minority Investing
We believe entrepreneurs are the rightful captains of their ships. That’s why we focus on active minority stakes (typically 10–30%), positioning ourselves as true partners—never passengers, but also not the controllers.

Active Ownership
LaunchBay brings deep networks, strategic expertise, and operational know-how to complement our partners. Together, we co-develop a tailored value-creation agenda, which may include:
o Strategy refinement and execution
o Board governance and advisory enhancement
o Growth beyond organic (e.g., adjacencies, roll-ups)
o Capital allocation and fundraising
o Talent professionalization and cultural alignment

Founder Selection
We partner with entrepreneurs who demonstrate vision, resilience, and a track record of execution. Their operating expertise, combined with our support, unlocks asymmetric growth potential.

Value Orientation
We believe in investing at a fair price—one that reflects company’s proven performance and future potential, while ensuring equitable value creation for all stakeholders.

Sector Focus
We focus on the CHIFT sectors—Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, Financials, and Technology—where we see enduring demand and scalable, innovation-led opportunities.

Exit Discipline
As responsible stewards of capital, we emphasize disciplined and timely exits that align with the lifecycle of both business objectives and investor returns.

Portfolio Construction
LaunchBay Fund I will selectively build a concentrated portfolio of 8–12 mid-market investments, balancing conviction with diversification.
